I look forward to the wintertime only to go snowboarding and be with family and friends during the holiday. It’s such a fun time of the year, getting into the Christmas spirit. During the holidays it’s a lot of work, helping my parents prep the table, food and cleaning the house before all of our guests arrive. Not to mention my mom likes to crank the heat up. She is always so cold and when it’s during the winter, and even the summer as well! When it’s just her in the house, we will come up and the house will feel like it’s on fire, that’s how hot it is. My dad will be upset with my mom because the temperature is set so high that the furnace will keep kicking on. He gets frustrated because with it being so hot, our furnace is using a lot of its energy from our fuel tank. My dad has to call our fuel company every two months because my mom wants to keep the furnace on high. My family is looking for an alternative way to also heat our home without always using our furnace. I came across another way that people like to heat their homes, alongside their furnace and that is radiant heating flooring. Radiant heating flooring keeps a home’s floors warm by hot water through pex tubing. It’s important to get an estimate first to see if an HVAC/plumbing company can install the advanced system. I feel like if we had this installed in our home it would minimize my mom being always cold and eliminating the constant use of our furnace.
