I can totally feel sweat dripping down my back as I was making my way down the scorching hot sidewalk.
The sun was pretty brutal beating down on me, and I sincerely wanted nothing more than to be free of the rays beaming down on me.
I simply wanted to get back to my dwelling and sit in my cool air-conditioned house. I started to walk more quickly, hoping to get to my front door as suddenly as possible. My gaze was essentially fixed on the doorknob, and severely happy while reaching for it. Right before I touched the handle, I heard a faint shout. This little boy was sitting on the opposite side of the street. This little one seemed a bit disoriented and scared. His face was flushed from the intense heat and I knew I had to do something for the little guy. As I came up to the young man, he was sobbing and I can tell that he had a mighty difficult time breathing most likely due to the heat. I took his hand and walked the little man to a close tree where it was shady. As we sat in the cool sod, I came to understand that getting into my air-conditioned dwelling didn’t matter anymore. This drawback certainly seemed to be far greater. I asked the little man what was going on and he said he ran out of his dwelling because their a/c appliance broke and the HVAC serviceman wouldn’t be able to make it to his dwelling until tomorrow. He genuinely was tired and frustrated. About a minute later his parents showed up, panicked and scared that their child was entirely gone. I told them they can come into my dwelling for a bit with their child to feel the a/c and from that moment I made a current pal. I was blissful that I was able to help in this time of need.
