With the rise in prices of everything and anything, we have been super conservative with our spending.
You can even say that we have become strict money managers when it comes to our finances. Currently, we are at the point where we know how every penny in our bank account is being spent. Recently, we went through our online statement and got rid of all the extra subscriptions that we did not need. For the ones that we did keep, we logged into our accounts and made adjustments where we could, to lower the bi-weekly cost. We are beginning to feel we don’t need all this excess that we all have. If you think about it, there are particular things that we need. There are things that are pure luxury that we could do without. For instance, we don’t need daily coffee from the local coffee shop, but we do need a bed to sleep in or a place to live. And within that place to live, we need hot water, electricity and central air conditioning and heating. Having central a/c and heating guarantees that inside our house is comfortable all year long. Yes, we could possibly eliminate central a/c and heating by using other methods to keep our house comfortable, and we have considered doing it. Instead of central heating, space heaters would be a good alternative for heating our home. But while space heaters can’t supply heat to an entire house, they are good for small areas. Anyway, we will continue to cut down on as much expenses as we can, and for those essential items that we need like central a/c and heating, we will eventually find ways to lower costs without compromising the comfort of our home.
