I’ve been going through a rough patch the last few weeks. If I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all, as the saying goes. My partner and both of our kids got COVID. We were all immunized, but that was no help. Somehow I didn’t get sick, which was great. But I still have to take care of three sick people, which isn’t easy. I am doing my best to stay well, because if I get sick who will take care of all of us? As if that wasn’t enough, I started having issues with our central Heating and Air Conditioning plan at a time when we needed it the most. There were some issues causing trouble with air circulation, so I chose to check on the air filters to see if they needed changed. Shockingly, I found that the system did not have an air filter in it at all. This was odd because I distinctly remember checking the old air filter just several weeks ago. I didn’t get rid of the air filter, so what happened to it? No one in the lake house could answer that question since they were all out of it. I had to purchase a new air filter, of course, but there was the greater issue of having breathed in the COVID-contaminated air for the whole time. I prefer HEPA air filters because they remove harmful viruses and bacteria from the air. I took a COVID test and it came back negative, so hopefully I’ve gotten away with it and the modern HEPA air filter will protect me.
