Looking for new HVAC system for our historic home

There are a few ductless options available, even though I am also considering a high-velocity HVAC system

Currently, I live in a rented townhouse, even though I do own a home. It is a nice 1 minute drive away from our office, so I do not live there. Instead, I use it as a rental. I have had the same family renting our little home for about three or four years now, so everything is laboring out well. I do appreciate our little house, plus I am looking forward to moving back into it when I retire, before I transfer back in, though, I am considering looking for a new HVAC system for it. My lake home is a historic lake home plus it is in the historic district of a little town in our state, then right now, it has a central heating plus cooling system with lots of air duct running everywhere. The vast majority of the air duct is running under the home in the crawl space. I am not recognizably cheerful with having air duct in the crawl space because over the years I have had wild critters plus feral cats get under the home plus destroy our air duct more than one time. Even though I hired a handyman to close up the spaces where the critters were getting into the crawl space, you think over time those things kind of wear out plus those little determined Critters find a way to get under there. Because the air duct is our major concern, I am considering going with a ductless heating plus cooling system. There are a few ductless options available, even though I am also considering a high-velocity HVAC system. The high velocity HVAC systems have air duct, but they have genuinely small duct labor that can fit behind walls plus stuff. It may not be necessary for myself and others to have our ducts underneath the house. I will soon be calling in an HVAC consultant to see what she recommends.
