I don’t really remember my allergy symptoms being so bad when I was a kid. I remember going outside to play with my friends. I’m sure I was sneezing and coughing, but my mom never gave me any medication. When I was a teenager, I had to go to the emergency room during an outdoor activity when I stopped breathing. The doctor suggested that I was having an allergic reaction to the pollen in the air. My mom thought the doctor was crazy since I never had any other problems with allergens or pollen. The doctor agreed to send me to a specialist and my mom found a doctor in the state capital city. The doctor agreed with the doctor from our hometown. He thought that I was suffering from severe allergies as well and suggested that there are times when allergies do just suddenly become bothersome. It seems like these allergy symptoms seem to get worse as I get older. I’ve noticed a scratchy soreness in the back of my throat a lot when there are Springtime flowers blooming. One thing that I did that really helps is by an air filtration system for my home. I have a small one bedroom apartment and it is only about a thousand square feet. I bought a portable air cleaning machine that is capable of cleaning 1200 ft of space. I changed the HEPA air filter two times throughout the month and I cleaned all of the intake vents as well. I am definitely feeling better these days, even though I know the symptoms are only getting worse the older I get.
