Anytime we needed to make variations, he was excited to adjust the schedule. As long as we found someone to cover the shift, the guy did not mind if we needed to transfer a day around. The modern employer has the state of mind that once the schedule is done, that is the mornings that you have to work. I told my boss that I needed a Monday off so I could go to an appointment with my boyfriend, however he told myself and others that the schedule was already made plus I was supposed to work that day. I told my boss that the appointment was at 2:00 p.m. plus that I would happily work at the heating plus AC repair shop in the morning until 1:00 when I would have to leave. The modern employer threatened to dock my pay if I left early, but I needed the time off plus there was nothing else that I could do. I ended up leaving in the middle of the day. I left at 12:30 when I was finished with a furnace tune up. I didn’t call the boss to get another task for the morning.
