I was really excited when my company started construction on a current building.
For weeks, my coworkers & I watched the construction process. The two of us were super eager to transfer into our current building. The current office space is situated right downtown & just gorgeous. It’s equipped with all of the most current amenities, including automatic lights, touchless faucets & keyless door locks. However, the entire staff has some complaints. Because of the location of the building, every one of us deal with heavy traffic on our way to & from work. There is also really limited parking. The two of us are forced to pay to use a parking garage multiple blocks away & then walk through rain, snow, heat, humidity & all sorts of weather conditions. The building is constructed almost really of glass, which is attractive & provides an amazing view but makes the working environment hot in the Summer & cold in the winter. Despite the tinted & thermal paned glass, the temperature of the glass makes a difference. While the building is outfitted with a state-of-the-art heating & cooling system, every one of us have no control over the temperature. The program is set to automatically switch from heating to cooling on a particular date on the calendar, and even if the outside conditions are hot & sticky at the end of October, the heating program starts up & blasts us with hot air. My coworkers & I are occasionally dressed in shorts in September. Sometimes the weather is still cold & snowy in May, but our program has switched to air conditioning & the building is chilly.
