My last car was in pretty brutal shape.
I drove around with a donut tire for $100 or 200 miles before I got it replaced.
The back fender was held on to the car by duct tape and the hood was held to the car with a few zip ties and some bondo. I had the car for a long time and I didn’t want to get rid of it. I kissed our first lover in that car. When the A/C stopped toiling, I knew it had to be the air compressor. The dealer told myself and others that it was going to cost $1,200 to maintenance that old ac. I easily didn’t even assume if the car was worth $1200. It was totally beat up with a ton of other complications and I didn’t think it was worth spending all of that currency to replace the ac. I use the currency to buy a modern car instead. I provided the dealership the 1,200 bucks I would have paid for a modern A/C and I provided them with the Broken down car. They traded myself and others for a smaller compact car that has a toiling a/c and excellent gas mileage. The car was on sale too, because they were trying to get rid of all of last year’s inventory to make more room for the modern year of cars. I saved almost $5,000 on the purchase and I got great interest rates since I had a trade in and some currency. I have to make payments on the car for four years, but our payments are only $147 each month. It will be difficult to spend money to pay it off early if I start making double payments now.
