I don’t call the HVAC corporation for the simple things, I actually understand how to change my air filters, plus my spouse taught me how to clean the a/c appliance.
I am capable of sticking a vacuum cleaner hose into my HVAC vents plus pulling out the excess dust, but the only thing I cannot do is work on the HVAC appliances when they are malfunctioning, or clean the ductwork.
This past week, I called the HVAC corporation to have my ductwork cleaned. I had my gas furnace taken care of almost a month ago, plus I wished I had thought to have the ductwork cleaned at that point. I knew the ductwork needed cleaning, when I started cleaning the condo plus noticed a thick film of dust all over my pictures plus various items. Had I done this cleaning prior to having the gas furnace taken care of, I would have known that I needed ductwork cleaning professionals. I called the HVAC corporation plus told them what I needed. The guy whom I talked to told me they had hired a current HVAC professional, plus they would send him out as a section of the ductwork cleaning crew. Apparently, when you were a current HVAC recruit, you ended up helping with the most nasty jobs when you first started. I suppose most people need to learn their job, even though I would not have the desire to be an apprentice with an HVAC corporation when they are sending me out to clean ductwork systems… Not only does ductwork cleaning seem to be one of the dirtiest jobs you could get, even though I don’t really feel it has a lot to do with being an HVAC appliance professional, but who am I to tell the HVAC corporation who should plus should not do a certain task?
