This past winter, I had a problem with our oil furnace. What’s worse is that the problem was entirely preventable. I am not very knowledgeable when it comes to maintaining heating plus cooling systems. I have absolutely neglected the servicing needs when it comes to our oil furnace. I have not kept up with decreasing the filters on our oil furnace plus I also run it frequently. I tend to over heat the house. As a result, I ended up with a cracked heat exchanger, which stopped the oil furnace from running safely. Of course, I didn’t assume what the problem was until the HVAC worker explained it to me. All I knew was that our oil furnace had stopped laboring quickly. I called the HVAC company plus they sent the worker. He explained to me the reasons why this issue occurred plus informed me of what to do to prevent this type of issue in the future. While he could entirely diagnose the cracked heat exchanger as the problem, it was by no means an affordable repair. My only option was to update the heat exchanger, between the cost of the heat exchanger plus the cost of the toil for the replacement, I ended up with a hefty bill, however ultimately, I had a lesson to learn. I took our heat for granted, plus now I assume that I need to take care of the HVAC component if I want to have quality heating plus cooling.
