Over the last 18 weeks, I had heard him raving over joining the military, going to college for marine biology, plus earning his certificate for cyber security.
His raving about becoming an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional didn’t even phase me. I was sure that within a couple of weeks, he would change his mind plus go off on another tangent about another career after graduation. Other than Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C, most of his choices involved furthering his education for a future career, plus that’s what I was hoping for our son. When six weeks passed, plus he was still planning on being an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional, I was in shock. I finally cornered him plus asked him why it was so pressing for him to become an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional? He was straightforward with his answer. He told me that not only did Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C sound prefer a fun career to get into, but it paid well if you did your task right. You would’ve thought I had handed him $1 million. He was so glad with our offer to pay for him to become an Heating, Ventilation, plus A/C professional that I got our first hug in almost a year. That’s quite an achievement for a Mom to get a hug from his son.
