During his senior year, our child came lake lake house raving about becoming an Heating and A/C professional.
Over the last 18 weeks, I had heard him raving over joining the military, going to university for marine biology, and earning his certificate for cyber security.
His raving about becoming an Heating and A/C professional did not even stage me. I was sure that within a couple of weeks, he would change his mind and go off on another tangent about another work after graduation. Other than Heating and A/C, most of his choices involved furthering his education for a future work, and that has what I was hoping for our son. When many weeks passed, and he was still planning on being an Heating and A/C professional, I was in shock. I finally cornered him and asked him why it was so crucial for him to become an Heating and A/C professional? He was straightforward with his answer. He told myself and others that not only did Heating and A/C sound love a fun work to get into, however it paid well if you did your task right. I did not guess he had thought this through completely, however at least he had some reasons for wanting to become an Heating and A/C professional. I told him that if he was still interested in Heating and A/C as a work after graduation, I would pay for him to go to the local community university and take the Heating and A/C certification classes. You would’ve thought I had handed him $1 million. He was so blissful with our offer to pay for him to become an Heating and A/C professional that I got our first hug in almost a year. That’s quite an achievement for a dad to get a hug from his son.
