It turns out that this happens because the condensed water cools & rests inside the heater, but unluckyly, most residential boilers are not high-efficiency boilers with provisions to eliminate & eject the condensed water out of the heater, but such highly efficient boilers used commercially have condensation pipes that eliminate any moisture that forms after use, however when this condensed water is not drained, it accumulates & can pose dire risks to your Heating and Air Conditioning system, but one of the consequences may be corrosion of parts, especially if they are prone to rust. When you realize that the boiler is leaking, the best transport would be to call your Heating and Air Conditioning worker for immediate intervention.
