The plan was absolutely not to be moving into our new locale, in our new region at the beginning of the Summer. For sure, it works out maybe with the youngsters finishing up school in the city. But my wife was already going to stay with them while I saw to the renovations in our new locale. Between a crisis inside the zone controlled Heating and A/C of the office that pulled me back to the city and just the slow going of any home project, we were behind. Finally, I solved the challenge and was again free of having to be in the commercial Heating and A/C of the office. I was able to turn my full attention to getting the house ready. That’s been six weeks ago and we are moving in now. This is a large move for us. My associate and I had always wanted to raise our youngsters outside of the city. And when we found this old farmhouse 90 minutes from the city, we couldn’t resist, yet, there were plenty of things that had to be addressed in our new house. It was an older structure and one that was built prior to the existence of residential Heating and A/C. So there is no central air conditioner. That was my first priority because our youngsters’ home offices were on the second floor. I wasn’t stuffing window cooling systems in those rooms. But I had to have something. Thankfully, the local Heating and A/C supplier came through for us by installing a multi split ductless heat pump system throughout the house. My associate and I have a big, custom wood stove that will provide the bulk of the heating. Yet, having the ductless heat pumps sure will make the Summer more manageable for sure.
