So over the course of the last couple of decades, we’ve been a bit back and forth on just where we wanted to live once we retired.
And once the youngsters were out of the central air conditioner of our home, it was time to sell.
Our family home was the perfect size for us, our four children and the numerous pets who have occupied the space. Yet, it was like living in an empty warehouse once the youngsters were gone. Where I once wished for a moments peace and quiet to simply put my feet up in the air conditioner was far to quiet. I could really hear the thermostat click well before I heard the heat pump kick on with air conditioner. That wasn’t at all possible when the house was full. My associate and I finally decided it was time to sell when we were faced with replacing the residential Heating and A/C. My associate and I were going to have to do that anyway in order to get the best price for our home. So we did that and plenty of other improvements suggested by the realtor. My associate and I were completely astounded by the price our family home sold for. But with that cash, we chose to stay put and build our first custom house. And there was nothing off limits do to finances thanks to the windfall from our family home sale. That meant that we were going for exactly what we wanted with the residential Heating and A/C. My associate and I used the same Heating and A/C company who did the work on the home we sold. And wow, he genuinely customized the heating and cooling in our home. My associate and I enjoy the zone controlled Heating and A/C and it’s already proved to be the best air conditioner we’ve ever had. And it’s still May!
