Duct sealing was done before cleaning just before we moved in, and it saved us from wondering about utility bills and air quality in our current home
We’ve moved houses thrice. The first time my partner and I had to transport to a larger locale, we made the mistake of trusting everything was okay, however shortly after, the boiler stopped working, and we had to install a heat pump as an alternative heating technology because it made more sense than replacing the older central heating device. The HVAC tech had already shared the perks of having one, so despite the replacement costs and the fact that we were planning to transport away in two years, we installed it. At the very least, it increased the value of that apartment when we decided to sell, however our second property was flawless, so we did not have any heating service or other minor things to handle, but we also learned our lesson the first time. Now for our third home, we included the heating corporation in checking out the apartment for us before we moved because we did not want to spend after we were settled. The current neighborhood had a more developed heating industry which included provision for property services, but even that did not sound like something we wanted to explore shortly after moving in. The HVAC serviceman sent from one of the local dealers came around when we were finalizing some repairs and replacements. A quick inspection only revealed that the digital control component needed to be replaced, and the HVAC duct had many weak points and cracks and needed cleaning. Duct sealing was done before cleaning just before we moved in, and it saved us from wondering about utility bills and air quality in our current home. From what I gathered, the previous homeowners did a lot of heating service for themselves, which explains the cracks and wear.
