The difference that my daughter and I have is that the movie theaters we go to smell better and they have an air conditioning system that makes the theater experience more comfortable.
I remember the days when my dad would take me to the movie theater, he’d buy me a bucket of popcorn and a large drink. The movie theater was always warm so that was a challenge. I felt that the theater loved to keep the heater on which if they did, would be a terrible experience for anyone. I would drink my soda fast to stay cool but the lack of air conditioning made the movie experience not so great at times. Besides that, id wear shorts and a short sleeve shirt unless it was winter. Other than that the theater smelled like popcorn all the time. It didn’t bother me much then but I still feel these are great memories of my dad. Many years later I go to the movie theater with my daughter and the experience I share with my daughter is quite similar. I buy her popcorn and a large drink and we grab a seat closer to the middle. The difference that my daughter and I have is that the movie theaters we go to smell better and they have an air conditioning system that makes the theater experience more comfortable. The only thing we do that I didn’t do back in the day is wearing a sweater or pants. My daughter is prepared if she is cold but if she isn’t, then she would take her sweater off since she wears a light shirt underneath. I love that I can share this experience with her. One day, maybe she can share this with her children.
