I have been having a pretty bad time the last few weeks.
If I didn’t have bad luck I’d have no luck at all, as the saying goes.
My wife and both of my kids got COVID recently. We were all immunized, but it didn’t matter. Somehow I didn’t get sick, which is a blessing. But I still have to take care of three sick people, which is a chore. I am doing my best to stay well, because if I get sick who will take care of everyone? As if that wasn’t enough, I started experiencing issues with my central HVAC system at a time when I needed it more than ever before. I noticed some minor problems with spotty air circulation, so I decided to check on the air filters to see if they needed changed. Much to my surprise I found that the system did not have an air filter in it at all. This was very strange because I distinctly remember changing the air filter just two months ago. I didn’t remove the air filter, so what happened to it? No one in the house could answer that question, they were too sick and sleepy. I had to replace the air filter, of course, but there was the larger issue of having breathed in the COVID-contaminated air for the last few days! I rely on the HEPA air filters to remove harmful viruses and bacteria from the air. I took a COVID test and it came back negative, so hopefully I dodged a bullet and the new HEPA air filter will protect me.
