Encourage your high school kids to look into the trades

If you are the parent of a high school aged person, I highly recommend that you encourage your child to look into the trades as a means of earning a living After High School.

I was a high school teacher for over a decade, and I am here to tell you that there is not enough emphasis put on the importance of traits in people in the world. For example, where would we be without plumbers? Where would we be without electricians? Where would we be without HVAC Specialists? I can tell you where we would be. We would be in a lot of trouble. We need people to go to trade school and learn how to run heating and cooling systems. We need people who understand Refrigeration & HVAC. We need people who can keep our Plumbing Systems and our electrical grids up and running all year long despite whatever bad weather comes along. For many years now, young people have been discouraged from looking into the trades. Educators and parents alike have encouraged their high school kids to go to college and nothing else. I am here to tell you, though, not every student is interested in going to University. Many young people really want to earn a living with their hands. They have no interest in studying more books for four more years. I believe that we should encourage our young people to do what they want to do so that they are happy in life. The world needs AC and heating experts just as much as it needs philosophers. Please help your young people with electrical programs, and so on. You will not regret it if you have a heating and cooling technician in the family!
