Working as a barista in a tied up city pop shop wasn’t that bad, however but, I could have done better without all the snide comments from patrons! I understand that working and living in a large city comes with its challenges… Most of our regulars were always flying into the door to grab their favorite pop while trying not to be late for work; That often led to lots of impatience, and at times angry exfluctuations.
I made it a habit to stop serving until they either calmed down or left the pop shop, then see, this wasn’t a large chain, however a pop shop owned by this attractive older dude, and he was the same way, and didn’t tolerate any fighting in his establishment… When I wasn’t at work serving pop to city folk, I was attending university.
I wanted to work as a Heating and AC professional. But, since our mom couldn’t afford to spend money for it, I chose to work full time and attend classes area time. This meant it took longer to finish, however it was better than not pursuing our career, however eventually, I graduated, and that coincided with quitting our barista task. My boss was worried to see me go, but he also knew I wanted to pursue our career. He even came to our graduation, and was ecstatic when I told him I had our Heating and A/C certification; During university, I had made several linkions in the industry and managed to land a task only a month after graduating. I’m cheerful to be working as a Heating and AC professional in the city, and life is good.
