The guy didn’t have anything to say after that
I was supposed to help one of our patrons with a furnace service last week, but the patron didn’t answer the iPhone when I called him to confirm his appointment. Getting Confirmation for jobs is crucial, because the other techs and I do not waste our time with shoppers that aren’t fully ready to have the services performed. All of us have neither the time nor the extra gas to drive to the address only to be turned away. All of us consistently tell our shoppers that they need to confirm their appointments. They can text or even just text the message back as well as say OKAY. All of us send a message everyday to the shoppers that have an appointment the subsequent afternoon. Only confirmed appointments are added to the schedule. A guy was on the sheet for a heat pump service but he had not confirmed. I tried to contact the guy earlier in the afternoon hours to see if I could get his on the iPhone. The appointment was busy for two p.m. as well as I never reached the patron after calling more than two times. I never went to his address. The next afternoon the patron contacted the heating as well as A/C service business to kvetch that I did not show up for a busy appointment. The guy in the office reminded the patron that the company has a policy on confirmations as well as the patron never confirmed the appointment. The guy didn’t have anything to say after that. She asked if he could make another appointment for the following afternoon. All of us were ecstatic to get his back up on the schedule, but he was of course reminded once again to answer the call or send us a text when you have to confirm the appointment.
