One of the first lessons I learned about marketing for my HVAC company was the importance of a good website.
I had been doing well the first year I opened my HVAC company, but after that, word of mouth slowly decreased and I was no longer growing.
I knew I needed some help, and everything I read made it clear that one of the basic needs for any growing company was a good website. I started looking online, hoping to find an online website developer that I could afford. I quickly ditched that idea and looked for any website development site that I could find. I found one that offered free web hosting, and depending on my needs, it would only cost me $10 a month. I thought this was a great deal, until I read that I had to create my own website. I worked hard to create a website, but it wasn’t working. The more I worked, the worse it looked. The free website design company sounded like a good idea, but I wasn’t able to do what needed to be done. I felt like I wasted a lot of time I could have been putting into the business. I was perusing online and although it wasn’t a free website design company, I found a website design company that worked with HVAC companies. I wasn’t sure if I was doing the right thing, but I continued dialing the number prominently shown on the website. An hour later, I had consented to allow one of their website designers to give me a mock up of what they could do. It was one of the best phone calls I had ever made.
