This past winter, I had a complication with my gas furnace.
What’s worse is that the complication was entirely preventable.
I am not honestly expertiseable when it comes to maintaining heating plus cooling systems. I have really neglected the servicing needs when it comes to my gas furnace. I have not kept up with increasing the filters on my gas furnace plus I also run it frequently. I tend to over heat the house. As a result, I ended up with a cracked heat exchanger, which stopped the gas furnace from running safely. Of course, I didn’t know what the complication was until the HVAC specialist explained it to me. All I knew was that my gas furnace had stopped working abruptly. I called the HVAC contractor plus they sent the specialist. He explained to myself and others the reasons why this issue occurred plus informed myself and others of what to do to prevent this style of issue in the future. While he could certainly diagnose the cracked heat exchanger as the problem, it was by no means an affordable repair. My only option was to upgrade the heat exchanger, and between the cost of the heat exchanger plus the cost of the work for the replacement, I ended up with a hefty bill, ultimately, I had a lesson to learn. I took my heat for granted, plus now I know that I need to take care of the HVAC unit if I want to have quality heating plus cooling.
