When I was growing up, our Mom regularly used to repair everything at home, however he was a definite Mr.
Fix It, plus people would come from all over neighborhood to get his help on fixing everything from their grassmower to their horse trailer to their boat.
We regularly had people down at our garage waiting around for him to repair things. So it’s honestly not a surprise that he was regularly fixing everything around our house too. I don’t remember ever having an electrician, plumber, carpenter, or heating plus cooling professional at our house once the entire time I was growing up, no, our Mom used to regularly take care of everything plus it was really nice. I remember once when our old central cooling system went on the baffix in the middle of the Summer plus our Mom was out of neighborhood visiting his brother in the next state over. We didn’t know what to do because the temperature outside was so tepid that week plus our mom plus I didn’t know what both of us were going to do without the air conditioner for a whole week! We called our Mom at his brother’s house plus he told us that both of us shouldn’t call the Heating plus A/C professional. He said he would be apartment the next day to repair it. Sure enough, the next day when I woke up, our Mom was down in the basement working on the central a/c system plus before certainly long, the house was cooling off again just prefer it should. Then our Mom got back in his truck plus drove back to finish the visit with his brother.
