I honestly didn’t believe my wife when she told me who changed the temperature control settings.
We kept waking up to a freezing house and it was because the air conditioner was set to full crank. At first I thought somebody got into the house and was pranking us. Then I thought of the possibility of the house being haunted. Eventually, my wife was able to figure it out one night when she woke up. She said she saw me walking over to the living room and she came to see what was going on. Supposedly, I went to the thermostat and cranked up the A/C system again and then I walked back to bed and pulled the covers over me. She said the house wasn’t haunted at all, it was me the whole time. I have to admit, it seems more of a likely story than having spirits adjusting the temperature control settings. But I never recall walking in my sleep and I’m pretty sure my parents never said I did anything like that. I figured I would have to ask them to be sure. I ended up talking to my mother on the phone and she confirmed it, I was a sleepwalker. She said I used to do that all the time when I was a youngster and it drove her nuts. I would get into the fridge all the time and my favorite thing apparently was messing with the old dial thermostat. I guess this was something I have done for a long while and I had no idea.
