I have a backyard shed that serves as my little gym. I do a gymnastic based workout most days of the week. I used to take classes when I was in middle school & even while I was in our university years, now I have to just figure it out. I am not training for anything serious, just for fun. Tumbling is a wonderful all over body workout & I love having fitness goals & working towards them. With tumbling however, the temperature in our shed is legitimately important. In the Summer it is not normal for the weather to get in the upper 90s. That is just way too sizzling to tumble. If I get that overheated, I start to sweat & our hands & feet get slick. I couldn’t do aerial cartwheels because when I jump & attempt to land on a single foot, I slide all over the arena. Being too frosty is almost worse though. If I am cold, I have trouble stretching & getting our muscles working right. I can’t do walkovers or back handSpringtimes because our bridge won’t stretch out. Often, I will damage myself on chilly mornings because I just push through. The wisest thing I ever did was get a ductless mini split for our space. I have both heating & cooling power & am able to control the control component right from our phone. I now don’t experience miserably hot or chilly temperatures. I make sure to either preheat or pre-cool our space on legitimately severe weather mornings. Normally, quick control component adjustment is all I need to work out without concern.
