I was really surprised to have a hidden talent and passion for cleaning.
- As a kid, I can remember always having to be hounded to take care of my room and the other cleaning chores I was assigned.
So being a professional cleaning lady is sort of a shocker. But as they say, necessity is the mother of invention. I met my husband in college and we were married shortly thereafter. My career was rather brief as kids came along soon and I was fortunate to be able to be a full time mother. I gravitated to caring for our home and that’s when I first embraced my inner cleaning lady. For years, I raised my kids, cleaned my house and enjoyed my life. Then my husband’s company was sold and he was let go. This was such a curveball that I wasn’t sure we were going to get through it. The kids were in college and we had bills to pay. My husband was finding it tough to find work. It dawned on me to get out there and start a maid service. And that’s just what I did. I started with one house and grew that into enough homes where I had to add more cleaning staff. Eventually, we branched out to office cleaning as well. We started providing commercial floor cleaning services and it hasn’t stopped. I love running the business and am so thankful to have such great people working with me. My husband did find work but, I’m so not giving up on my commercial cleaning company.
