I recently home sat for our sibling Robert & it was awesome & bad at the same time.
It was really good because our sibling has a totally sweet house.
Her beach home is large with a big beautiful swimming pool, outdoor kitchen & lounge area. She also has a separate workout room with a treadmill, elliptical machine, weight bench & yoga mats. The best is the state of the art kitchen with incredible appliances, marble countertops & a large sink. The bad section is that our sibling loves modern technology… Everything she owns is a smart product. She has her indoor & outdoor lights working through a timer. She has her pool oil furnace & cleaning on a timer as well. Also, controlled from the same smart pad are all the security cameras, door locks & window locks. A new addition was a smart Heating & A/C system. My sibling now has heating, cooling & air quality adjustments to do on her smart pad. She has a whole weekly program of what Heating & A/C setting is being used in what particular room. When I home sat for him, I was certain our sibling wanted me to be comfortable. She upped the cooling function in the entire house. It was chilly & I didn’t know how to change it. The last thing I wanted to do was possibly shut off security cameras or stop her pool cleaning. So I just froze the entire time or hung outside near the pool. I felt too stupid to operate the smart system.
