Three weeks ago, my friends and I went to the park and we participated in a pickup game of basketball.
There were a total of 10 people on the court and we were having a great time.
I was hitting some crazy long shots and all of us attracted a crowd of people. I saw my ex girlfriend in the crowd and I thought I would impress her with a slam dunk. I waited until the right time and I jumped up to slam the ball in the hoop. Unfortunately, I was looking at her instead of the hoop and I completely missed the basket. I fell on my ankle and broke a bone. My friends had to carry me off the court because I couldn’t walk. Now all I can do is sit in front of the television for the next 6 weeks. I have to wait for my leg to heal. I’ve been playing some video games and catching up on my Netflix watch list. I’m thankful that my air conditioner has a remote control. The pain pills give me hot flashes and chills and sometimes I am hot and sometimes I am cold. It would be impossible to get up and down from the couch to change the temperature, but the remote control makes it very easy to adjust the temperature on my air conditioner. I have to be in a cast for the next six weeks and then I still have several weeks before I can play basketball again. My ex-girlfriend never even called to see if I was okay.
